• Over the last 5 years, i-Saksham has been building local rural young women as 'Leaders of Change' in Bihar. The purpose is to promote active social and economic life for women and shift their typical trajectory away from dropping out of higher education, and early marriage.

The women leaders go through a 2-year immersive leadership development program followed by continuous alumni engagement where they:
      a. Gain self-belief that their identity matters and gain skills, and networks to grow as role models in their communities and beyond.
      b. Collaborate with govt. school of their village to enhance the educational inclusion of underserved children and grow as development professionals in the process.
      c. Collectivize into a peer-driven community of change agents to promote women's leadership at various levels of socio-economic life
i-Saksham currently has a network of 350+ leaders in 5 districts of Bihar-Begusarai, Gaya, Jamui, Munger, Muzaffarpur.
